1. I was a competitive synchronized swimmer for SEVERAL years. I have pictures of me in sequined bathing suits to prove it. It took me YEARS to stop keeping an "8 count" when listening to music or choreographing "routines" in my mind.
2. I have a high level of discomfort with things that aren't placed/organized on a right angle. "Kitty Corner" are dirty words to me.
3. I would eat raw seafood/fish every day of life if I could.
4. I have thought about running for a political party. I am not however ready to give up my life at this point just yet. These "thoughts" come up every 4 years or so.
5. I haven't watched a horror movie in over 5 years because I believe that I might never sleep again if I do. I feel like I really COULD be someone you read about in the paper.
6. I don't have "jimmy leg"....I have "jimmy body". Right before I fall asleep, every night, my whole body does some funky convulsion. I may or may not have caused injury to other people in bed with me.
7. I have a deep and abiding love for John Mayer. I KNOW he is not cool "right now"...but he'll be back on top one day, I ASSURE you! #teammayer
8. I still check the closets for bad guys and monsters on a regular basis. So far so good.
9. I am a mediocre cook, but an excellent baker. I have a muffin recipe committed to memory that would SLAY any of YOUR muffins.
10. I don't really know how to 'play' with children, including mine. Growing up as an only child had its limitations.
11. I once scared off a potential suitor in University by serving him a glass of apple cider that had a toenail floating in it.
12. I woke up on my 19th birthday in a tree. It is a good story, and no, I am not writing about it on the internet.
13. Everything about the Olympics makes me cry even if I know it's blissful ignorance of fascism and corporate greed. When I see the flame....the tears start to flow, it continues for 2 weeks.
14. I was proposed to at the age of 6 by Mathieu Daigle, who stole his mother's wedding ring and gave it to me atop of the monkey bars in my back yard. I said "no" but took the ring anyway. My mother returned it, much to my 6-year old chagrin.

Fabulous list. I hear you on the baking, although muffins aren't my forte, so I'd be happy to just enjoy yours.
I had to give up scary movies generally because they freaked me out for way longer than truly necessary.
What I'm most curious about...were you trying to scare him off, or was the toenail an accident?

Quadelle and Bon, I was TOTALLY trying to impress him (omg, I have no idea why). The toenail was apparently mine (just a clipping) that went rogue one day in my dorm room.
I was SO embarrassed....I actually considered whether dying of embarrassment was possible.
Postscript - we ended up dating eventually and driving across the country together in 1997. We started in Toronto (en route to Vancouver) and broke up in Winnipeg. It was a long LONG drive!
